Sample Wedding Vows

Being a Florida Wedding officiant is awesome! If you are looking for a typical Florida wedding vows as suggested by the  Governors Manual here it is: 

EXCHANGE OF VOWS

Officiant: "__________", do you take this wonderful person to be your wife/husband, to share your life together in marriage, to love, honor, and comfort her/him, in sickness and in health, and to forsake all others for as long as you both shall live?

Spouse 1: "I do."

Officiant: "__________", do you take this amazing person to be your husband/wife, to share your life together in marriage, to love, honor, and comfort him/her, in sickness and in health, and to forsake all others for as long as you both shall live?

Spouse 2: "I do."

Vows Exchange

Officiant: "To the First Spouse, please repeat after me:"

I, "", take you "" to be my wife/husband. I promise to have and to hold you from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health. I will love and cherish you until death do us part.

Officiant: "To the Second Spouse, please repeat after me:"

I, "", take you "" to be my husband/wife. I promise to have and to hold you from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health. I will love and cherish you until death do us part.

EXCHANGE OF RINGS

Officiant: "Now, please exchange rings as a symbol of your love."

To Spouse 1: "As you place this ring on your partner’s finger, repeat after me:"

"I give you this ring as a token and pledge of my constant faith and abiding love."

To Spouse 2: "Now place the ring on your partner’s finger and repeat after me:"

"I give you this ring as a token and pledge of my constant faith and abiding love."

PRONOUNCEMENT

Officiant: "By the authority vested in me under the laws of the State of Florida, I now pronounce you husband and wife – or – joined in matrimony. You may now kiss!" Feel free to customize any part of this template to better reflect your personalities or preferences!
